Only to find out that there was a small coffee bar with nutrigrain bars & sometimes small muffins. Coffee creamers not always available.

The new owners have made great progress since our first stay here in March, and it’s clear they are putting a lot of effort into improving the property. One area that could benefit from a little more attention is the cleanliness of the rooms and laundry room. Because many guests are staying here while undergoing cancer treatment, having a clean and sanitary environment is especially important. I mention this simply because I know how much of a difference it can make and because it is such an important part of providing a comfortable stay for everyone.

The room was not clean. There was trash under the table and the bed. The mattress sags in the middle, so it was very uncomfortable. The outlets were so old that anything one plugged in simply fell out. When we used the microwave for popcorn, it was so small the bags got stuck and everything burned. We had to have a sticky note on the door for a "Do Not Disturb" because there was no door hanger. Then there was the bathroom. I don't think I've seen toilets that small since elementary school. It was so narrow it was hard to close the door without stepping into the shower. My husband brought a small project to work on but the lighting was so dim he was not able to do anything with it. The air conditioning was fine; as was the parking. The location was convenient to MD Anderson. The staff was polite and helpful which was much appreciated, given the other problems.
