False Luxury: A Nightmare Stay at ME Cabo
ME Cabo is the furthest thing from a 5-star resort. The entire experience felt like false advertising. This isn’t a hotel—it’s a dayclub and nightclub with blaring music from 12 PM to 12 AM (or later), making peace and quiet impossible. Forget about relaxing or taking an afternoon nap. The public beach is unusable, with vendors constantly harassing guests.
The resort prioritizes beach club visitors over hotel guests, sometimes requiring a minimum spend for pool chairs—a shocking policy for a “luxury” property. The elevator was broken most of our stay, and the service was mediocre at best. Rooms were often without clean towels, staff rarely greeted guests or checked in, and if you’re not drinking, expect to be ignored.
Adding insult to injury, you’re prohibited from bringing any outside food or drinks into the hotel unless purchased on-site. On top of that, they charge $100 to replace a flimsy wristband room key. The room service menu is a joke, with barely six unappealing options. Despite charging 5-star prices, the service barely reaches a 3-star standard. This is not a place for relaxation or luxury.
