For such a large, well established, and expensive property, I was truly appalled by how awful our stay here was. Sure, it was a busy weekend in Boston, but the hotel was underprepared and understaffed on every level. Not only were we unable to check in to our room until almost 7pm, but the desk agents were totally unapologetic and did not offer anything to help ease the burden. The room was clean and comfortable, so props to housekeeping who I am sure were working hard, and there are great amenities to take advantage of if you have the time, which we unfortunately weren’t afforded. Even grabbing a drink at the bar took forever, and the staff surely didn’t care (I am sure they were all completely burnt out). When we went to leave, the valet took almost 45 min. to get our car, which just added fuel to the fire at this point and left us not only disappointed, but extremely frustrated. Simply put, we did not get what we paid for and definitely won’t return again.
