The rooms were VERY small, but otherwise adequate. It is near everything and the staff members were very helpful and friendly. Scargo Restaurant is right down the road (take right leaving property) and the food is great. Further down the same road is the Cape Cod Art Museum (the theatre and movies are also there). The Museum is wonderful and the sculpture garden there is really interesting.

Such a warm and cozy place. Tucked away in the woods with many special perks. 1st-a heated pool! Additionally-they offer guests use of a shared, community kitchen with stove, frig, toaster oven and more, so if you are on an extended stay-you can buy your own groceries and prep your own meals! Also a beautiful common area with a fire pit, outdoor gym area, gas grills,hammocks-even a giant chess set! The main office even has a lil gift shop, complimentary coffee and tea plus pre packed S' more kits. We had so much fun and the rates were very reasonable. We will return!

The owners are very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean, but it’s an old property, with tiny bathrooms and noisy window unit air conditioners. The morning I left, I couldn’t get hot water. I hate to leave a middling review, but Cape Cod is becoming like lobster rolls: overpriced and unsatisfying. This isn’t Starlight’s problem, they are, for the area, a good value, but what came to $250 a night was disappointing. If you must come to the Cape in the high season (and I came to see friends, not the beach), you can certainly do worse, but I think next year I’ll wait till the colder months.

Loved this place. Staff were all so nice, grounds were great, pool was perfect, room was small but comfortable and location is fantastic. Will definitely return when in the area.

Nice Little get away spot

Really nice staff. We had a nice little get away. Had a swim on the heated pool after the beach then had a nice picnic. Having access to a grill and a kitchen was awesome.

Starlight has a great location, that’s what drew me to the property. Stayed for two nights for July 4th weekend. What threw me off most was when I arrived to check in (hours after check in began)… I got the key, and the room hadn’t been cleaned and the front desk clearly doesn’t check. The woman at the front even stated that no one was in it last night so it appeared their cleaner forgot to clean it. I had to wait about 35 minutes for I believe the owner or owners husband to clean the room. This made me rush to get ready for my dinner reservation so that was a bit frustrating. Otherwise, the room was fairly clean, just a little damp and many small bugs in the bathroom, especially at night. It was fine in a pinch but I’ll try to find another hotel in the area for next time.

My son and I had a really nice stay at the Starlight Lodge in mid-August. It's in a good location, the property is nice and quiet; we really appreciated the pool, and the lawn with games, grills, fire pit, etc. The room itself was small (especially the bathroom, which was tiny), but it had clearly been somewhat recently updated, and was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

This motel was categorized as 4 stars it is at best 2,5 stars. It is the typical tiny cape cod motel room. The beds are not great. It was clean and did not smell of mold like most cap motels but the off season charge of $175 per night for a $90 room is ridiculous.

Cute, efficient, friendly

We loved this quaint and unassuming little lodge. The pool was cute, space was clean, and the owners are onsite and friendly (cute dogs too). I would definitely say that "bed" is a strong word for the pullout piece in the room- it was a small armchair that folded out to a toddler sized bed- good for a child perhaps but definitely not suitable for an adult to sleep on. We were happy enough to share the bed, but just a cautionary mention if one were relying on that feature. Overall this place was a real gem- very cute and approachable.

Property is an old motel in pretty good shape. There was no one around in the office when we checked in or out, but we had no issues with anything. The rooms are a bit old and fairly no frills, which was fine with us, but I would like to see better locks on the doors, especially since it seems as if there's little staff. It's in a nice area and was very convenient to the house of my relatives, who live only minutes away.

Check in was interesting. Thankfully we showed up during office hours. Desk attendant had trouble finding our reservation and complained that expedia had been double booking rooms. She finally found our booking after we showed her a printed copy of reservation from expedia. Lucky ducks!!!

Not worth the trip

When my friend and I went to check-in we were told Hotels.com/Expedia made mistake on numerous reservations, including ours. The manager indicated that she canceled many reservations and only had us for 1 night, despite booking several months ago for 2. While she said she would accommodate, it wasn't a pleasant experience after traveling a few hours. The room was ok, however, bugs and old towels were in the room. I wouldn't stay here again.

Had a very disappointing stay at the Starlight. The room we stayed in (118) was very dirty and smelt of mold. Upon arrival the room was not cleaned yet so the owners went in with a shower caddy and cleaned it for 30 minutes. Upon entering, there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and I even had to clean the A/C filter due to the smell. The floor was grimy and left a black film. While the room may have been 'cleaned' upon arrival, the conditions allude to long term neglect. We checked out after our first night and I requested to be refunded for the evening we did not stay. We were told that we couldn't be refunded because we used Expedia, however Expedia agents worked with us to try to get refunded to no avail (starlight did not pick up the phone). I emailed Starlight with images from our room and they have not replied back to me. I definitely would avoid staying here as they do not take care of the property and also do not work with you when unsatisfied.
