Not sure how this got an 8.0 rating on hotels.com. The initial staff member, who was not warm and welcoming, did not give clear directions to my room nor did he appear to really care especially when I came back to the office to clarify. I had to assist other lost guests with direction. If you have any sort of mobility issues, beware! Had to hike 4 flights of stairs to just get to the hotel portion of the property and then had to walk all the way around the building and up another two flights to my room. There are absolutely no amenities - there's a kitchen with dishes but no dish soap, no complimentary coffee, no bikes, no beach chairs. I was appalled when I noticed a contact lens on the floor by the nightstand - I did not bring any contacts with me. Dark Hairballs were waiting for me at the front door when I got back to the room - my hair is not dark. I suspect the cleaning lady used the hand/body bar soap to clean some dishes I used which does not seem safe. The a/c did not work for the first 5 of 8 nights I stayed and when the repair people came, one of the workers asked or water and when I pointed to the sink and glasses, he said he wanted bottled water! Um. I have to pay for that myself, mister, did you not bring a lunchbox to your job??? This location is also fairly isolated. Without bikes, a taxi or car is a must be o Grace Bay where the shops, including groceries, are. The map makes it look much closer but it's not. If I return to TCI, I would not rebook this hotel.
