This review is a real person not AI. I should have read other reviews on other sites. On this website it had good ratings. The hotel looks charming. But I agree with the other reviews there are serious security issues staying at this hotel. I was arriving very late due to the TSA shutdown my flight was delayed. You can not reach the hotel directly. I was advised there is no front desk or security at this hotel. Someone called me from a Google IP number. She was asking for additional fees. The caller ID said "Spam". I ask her for the direct hotel number so I could call back. There was a long pause. She said she was on her computer not at the hotel. She hesitated with the hotel number and could not answer basic questions like how far the hotel was from downtown.
I thought this was someone who did not know the local area and it raised Red Flags. For my security I was not comfortable providing my card for any additional fees. I ask to wait until I arrived. As a travel writer who covers hotels around the world I was being cautious. It turns out the hotel is in a bad area. The hotel canceled my room even though it was paid in full. They rebooked it with another guest. Lesson Learned I should have read other reviews.
