Poor breakfast selection. Dirty pull out bed hairs on it. No remote for tv. Not enough towels for family.
Main light in bathroom didnât work.
I will never stay at a days inn again. Looked very appealing on the website but. Was very let down.
It was a place to sleep at the end of the day and was just fine for that. They mention there is a made to order breakfast but you have to walk about a quarter of a mile to get any food.
Looks like room has not been updated since the 1980s. Price should be lower to reflect lack of general improvements. Same for communal areas. Otherwise just ok.
Good choice if you just want somewhere to lay your
Room was clean except for the towels which looked clean but smelt like theyâd been stored in a greasy spoon. Bed was comfortable but only a couple of hard chairs to sit on other than the bed. On arrival we had to pay ÂŁ5 a night for parking which was unexpected. But the staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Good choice if you just want somewhere to lay your head and it was quiet.
Room's fine, quiet at the back with a view of a field, bed and bathroom good, a desk with a little fridge, places to put clothes, helpful staff. Useful for the A38 and local things and the service station to walk to for food. The WiFi could be faster.
Mostly was good, but there was a musty smell in the room. It was late so we just made do, but otherwise we would have reported it.
Told the lady on checkout who was very helpful and said they would look into it and address the issue
Not a very enjoyable stay. After arriving at 10pm there wasnât enough duvets for our children so we had to go to reception to ask for another one. The room wasnât very clean, there was no hand soap, 2 towels & 2 cups for 4 people, water still in the kettle & the fridge was mouldy.
Also the bath was very slippery & my son slipped while showering & cut his head on the sink.
Cheap basic hotel..... ÂŁ5 parking charge per night
Cheap basic hotel room. Served it's purpose. A bit tired and dated but clean and tidy. Stung with a ÂŁ5 parking charge for 1 night. Hidden in the small print when booking.
This hotel accommodation is 'tired' and needing refurbishment! It is basic to say the least. Net curtains in the room which were too long for the window and which hung on an expanding rail! Emulsioned walls in a rather drab green and basic desk/work surfaces. Brown water came out of the hot tap on initially turning it on which was disconcerting. Finally we had to a parking fee on registratiing at the hotel to park in their car park!!! No prior warning was given.
Motorway services hotel, but actually tucked away in its own leafy green corner, our room was quiet with uninterrupted views of green fields, Itâs a tired building, but the staff couldnât do enough for you, the room was clean, and epic value for money
