Hotel Essex Chicago

Very nice hotel in great location in The Loop (south Loop) bus stop is a min walk. (We bought a CTA unlimited 3 day bus pass and found the bus service very convenient!) Hotel was very nice, wish we had a better view as the side seen in the pictures with a wall of windows was facing another big hotel a few feet away so those windows were almost pointless. Hotel was very modern and clean (they need to do a better job cleaning floors in rooms though) otherwise very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again, cheaper then other hotels in The Loop!

Was there for 6 days for business trip. Everything was great, but the front desk was severely understaffed. I needed new towels and I was unable to speak to anyone at the front desk from my room phone. They kept putting me on hold and forgetting about me, even hanging up on me. I didn’t end up getting my towels but waited for the maid to come the next day. Besides for that, everything was fine.

Amazing stay! Conveniently located close to many eateries and museums

Really like the location. Rooms were very efficient!
