I was left not impressed by The Marriott Hotel in Budapest.
The location is undeniably great, right on the Danube with gorgeous views, but the issues with the room took away from the experience. We had booked a room with two queen beds, but were given two doubles instead, which made the stay less comfortable than anticipated.
The bathroom layout was especially frustrating. It felt like it was designed for children—the toilet was awkwardly positioned right behind the door, which made it easy to bump your legs every time you entered. Additionally, the glass door for the shower only covered about a quarter of the tub, which caused water to splash everywhere, making the space inconvenient to use.
Service and dining were average, with nothing to particularly rave about. While the hotel has potential due to its location, the room setup and design flaws made it hard to fully enjoy the stay.
