We stayed at Art House after a long day of adventuring and visiting, booking about half an hour before we arrived (close to 10pm). We happened to arrive at the same time as multiple other travelers and there is only one person doing the check in, so we waited for some time before it was our turn. They were also out of parking space in their small garage, so we had to park on the street. In this instance, it wasn’t a problem because the next day was a holiday, but otherwise, it could be an issue as they are time limited, metered spaces.
Nevertheless, Art House is a small, modern, boutique hotel, in a downtown area. Everything was brand new such that you could smell the new flooring. The room we stayed in had a view of a construction site across the street, and while the noise didn’t bother us, you could hear it in the morning.
The location is convenient for shopping and restaurants all within a few blocks. It is downtown, but it is a relatively quiet/small urban environment, right next to an apartment building. Overall a pleasant, last-minute stay.
