Four of us (2 adults and two teens) had a great stopover in Como. Beautiful, clean apartment in excellent location. Just about everywhere is walkable and there’s lots of nice places to eat, drink and shop in the immediate vicinity. Check in was easy, just needed to touch base with Marco before arriving. My Italian isn’t great but his English was impeccable. He is an excellent host! Would be more than happy to recommend.

Great location but hot and noisy

Friendly host, Marco and friend. Room was very clean and well decorated but it was very hot (no A/C, only ceiling fan), noisy if window open and there was no WiFi reception in the room.

We appreciated the host's welcome and availability. The accommodation is within easy reach of the main railway station. The small terrace is very pleasant and the bedding comfortable.

Bed & Breakfast without breakfast?

Hard to get in touch with the b&b. Did not answer messages. Had to call several times on different days to connect regarding questions. No breakfast included, or poorly communicated how to retrieve it, if included? Very odd to call it b&b if no breakfast somehow was provided.

The property location is fantastic but it was lacking AC and it was super loud since we had to keep the window open all night. We did not enjoy our stay, it was super hot and we didn’t sleep. We asked for a fan but was ignored via message “what’s app” also it soo hot in the room we had to resort to wetting towels and putting it on our heads due to the heat. The property listed it has WIFI. But when we got there there is no WiFi… there is a lack of communication between us and the host. I was say this place would be perfect in the fall or winter. Or check out his other rooms for AC.

It is a B&B, however no breakfast is served!!! Drop of rains were falling on the bed throughout the night. Considering the price for 1 night (113 euro), the conditions, including cleanness, was quite low. Overall, it is an old and badly furnished accomodation that I would nor recommend to others

Oh My God ! What a B&B !

I was waiting for 1 hour to get my room key. But the host has gone to milan(more than 1hour by car). So I have to make a int'l phone call to get my room key. After 1.5hours of effort I got my room key. This B&B is located 5th floor & and our room door was out of order so we cannot lock our room door. Further more room TV is located more than 2m high. The host never say "I am sorry !"

Okay at best.

Place wasn’t vacuumed. Fridge smelled and had mouldy water in freezer drip tray. Shower could do with a basic clean. No A/C just a noisy fan swinging around above the bed. Host tried to overcharge us for the city tax, then the cleaner asked us for the same tax but twice the amount it was meant to be. No parking on sight. Slightly expensive parking garage nearby for about 30-40€ a day. The place was fine overall if you need somewhere cheap to simply sleep and shower.

Hyggeligt og god beliggenhed

Fint sted med god beliggenhed. Renligheden var i orden, og servicen var god. Dog virkede den kvinde, der modtog os ved ankomst, temmelig beruset, hvilket gjorde os en smule bekymrede. Men hun var flink, og vi oplevede ikke andre problemer end sommetider at blive forstyrret ved at hun eller ejeren af stedet tog i håndtaget til vores værelse. Alt i alt en god oplevelse på trods.

Décevant pour un 4 étoiles à Como

Nous avons sejourné 2 nuits dans la chambre "Tortora". Points positifs : climatisation efficace, photos conformes, très bien situé au centre de Como, wifi rapide. Points négatifs : arrivée compliquée, aucune indication pour trouver la chambre (dernier étage sans ascenseur, portes non nommées). Accueil assuré par le personnel d’entretien ne parlant qu’italien, échanges difficiles même via application de traduction. Marco, le responsable, absent tout le séjour… sauf le matin du départ pour encaisser la taxe. Paiement CB annoncé mais refusé sur place, seul le cash accepté et pas de monnaie sur le moment. Petit-déjeuner en supplément malgré la mention “Bed and Breakfast”abusive. Isolation sonore inexistante : simple porte intérieure non isolée, conversations dans l’accueil audibles depuis la chambre, grasses matinées impossibles. Sécurité faible : tentatives d’entrées dans la chambre à trois reprises sans frapper (sentiment d'insécurité ignoré par Marco), porte communicante non verrouillable. Salle de bain : porte de douche qui ferme mal (eau dehors) et tuyau de douche légèrement percé. Le matin du départ (départ possible jusqu’à midi), message sec “please check out” bien avant l’heure prévue. Velux sans occultant. Pour 140 € la nuit, prestations et service ne sont pas à la hauteur, 4 étoiles très discutables. Note : 4/10.

A Eva nos recebeu com muita simpatia. Fomos bem acolhidos por ela. Quarto espaçoso, limpo e confortável. Boa localização, no centro histórico, perto de restaurantes. Perto também da estação de trem. Foram gentis e permitiram deixar a bagagem sem custo após o checkout.

An sich ein hübsch eingerichtetes Appartement, und Host Marco ist ein lieber Kerl. Die Lage ist gut, wenn einem ein paar Schritte und Treppen nichts ausmachen. Aber: Der Raum ist von der Nachbarwohnung lediglich durch eine gewöhnliche Zimmertür getrennt, die zudem nur ein normales Buntbartschloss besitzt. Die Wohnung dahinter wurde genutzt, und entsprechend war die Geräuschkulisse. Störender noch war der nächtliche Lärm einer Klimaanlage bzw. eines Ventilators aus einem anderen Appartement, der uns bis 5.00h früh vom Schlafen abgehalten hat. Ob dieser Mängel halten wir einen Preis von rund 150€ auch in Como nicht für gerechtfertigt. Und auf ein extra zu bezahlendes Frühstück ("B&B") auf dem Zimmer hatten wir dann auch keine Lust mehr.

Hermoso lugar, cómodo, luminoso, bien arreglado. La cama es cómoda. Tiene buen tamaño. Está en el mero centro de Como, todo cerca. Tranquilo. Cosas que mejorar: La comunicación para la llegada. Me sentí un poco perdida, no sabía que está hasta el último piso de un edificio (sin elevador), ni cuál era el código de entrada. Quizás sería bueno saber eso desde el día anterior. Después de eso, todo muy bien, incluida la comunicación. Tal vez sería buena una cortina para la ventana que da al interior, porque entra luz desde muy temprano. Volvería sin pensarlo dos veces.

There is no air conditioning, Wi-Fi, or elevator (the apartment is on the third floor). You’ll need to open the window for ventilation, but it can get noisy at night — and even then, it doesn’t help much with cooling.

Das Zimmer liegt mitten in der Altstadt und ist ideal um den Ort zu erkunden. Der Vermieter ist nett und hilfsbereit. Die Dusche ist fantastisch!

Eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung

- Das Zimmer war kalt, Heizung funktionierte nicht - W-LAN funktionierte nur bedingt - Bei der Ankunft war niemand da, obwohl wir uns angekündigt hatten - Das Zimmer war nicht gereinigt, es lag sogar noch eine Tüte auf dem Boden und Brotkrümel - Keine Möglichkeit, das Frottiertuch aufzuhängen im Bad - Sehr lärmig in der Nacht - Obwohl wir Frühstück bezahlt hatten, bekamen wir kein Frühstück. - Fazit: viel zu teuer, nicht zu empfehlen!
