Cleveleys Beach highlights

The artwork trail along Cleveleys Beach is a collection of larger-than-life sculptures and art that lines the beach and promenade. One sculpture is a white obelisk that towers above the shore with sea swallows emerging from the top like massive cut-outs. The Stone Ogre is a carved boulder that looks like the mythical creature curled up under the beach for high tide.

The promenade butts up against sea defences that double as stone steps if you want to sit and enjoy a seaside picnic. The Shipwreck Memorial sculpture is a tribute to centuries of cargo and people lost in shipwrecks to the tumultuous seas.

Good to know when visiting Cleveleys Beach

Admission to Cleveleys Beach and the promenade is free, and there are many ways to access the beach at one of the frequent access points in the flood wall. Some access points also have seafront facilities. The North Promenade Car Park at the south end of the beach is a great parking option if you choose to drive here.

Dogs are welcome during the off-season but not during the summer months. There is also a cafe that’s easily identifiable by tall artistic windmills if you want to grab some refreshments.
